Changes to my Study Programme

 Pharmacy

Even thought I'm so lucky for studying at University of Chile, there are many things I would like to change about my carreer.

The curriculum is pretty complete, but having Anatomy on our curriculum is a great idea. That would help us to understand better our body and learning about drugs reaction mechanism would be easier.
In another hand, I think it's necessary that all subjects become biannual. It's not fair to lose excessive time for taking a subject again, we don't reprove intentionally. It seems like our college is punishing us for reproving, and the length of the career just increases unnecessarily.

Furthemore, I think it's important to keep Botanic in the curriculum. This subject is indispensable for future investigations, there are lots of important properties in plants that could be used on new drugs. It's also a good alternative to double edged drugs, that could be as harmful as the disease they treat.
Our faculty is ok, but I think infrastructure could be better. Common, we cannot compare FACIQYF with Beaucheff or FEN. I like our green areas, but having better classrooms, a decent library and better places to have social life would be amazing. Our library has no enough space to study, and we're pretty poor in technology terms. PCs are limited, and the other PCs room is always crowded.

Teaching methods are ok. Most of teachers designed amazing methods, but some of them prefer avoid technology, although we learn better using technology. But nothing serious.

  1. I dont think that is a good idea to have anatomy, it is a descriptive subject of the macros structures of the body, so it really dont have an impact on our career. Physiology is our anatomy.

  7. The previous curriculum on the faculty has anatomy as subject, but I think on our common curriculum that subject now is part of systems phisiology's course (like botanic and pharmacognosy).
